Fact found that Belle & Sebastian took to their instagram to show pictures of the band with various instruments and sitting in front of five keyboards possibly writing a new track. On their twitter they confirmed that they are working on a new album:

The band haven’t released a new album since 2010’s “Belle and Sebastian Write About Love”, they did release “The Third Eye Centre” which was a collection of b-sides and rare tracks. You can see the pictures that the band posted below.
