Grizzly Bear are currently on break while they rest from the promotional tour of their 2009 album “Veckatimest” which ended in October. Frontman Ed Droste was recently interviewed by Hitfix. This is what he told the website about the band’s writing process:
“We’ll start writing after Christmas, we just finished our last show in October. We thought maybe we can pretend we’re not in a band for three months and hopefully not be in a bus or a plane.
[The band] willstart dipping our toes into a writing process and see where that takes us. We want everything to just happen.”
He also talks about the direction that the band might head in, which shouldn’t be a suprise, I learned from the article that the band originally planned to soundtrack the flim Blue Valentine but had to back out when production took too long. (Thanks to Grizzly Bear Galore)
