The Strokes were reported to have been recording their new album early this year at New York City’s Avatar Studios but those sessions were scrapped. The band then decided to head upstate and recorded at Albert Hammond, Jr.’s studio. In an interview with Rolling Sone he spoke of the how the sessions went and shed some details about the new album. This is what Albert Hammond, Jr. said:
We spent the last 6 months recording in my studio upstate and we are beyond thrilled with the 10 songs we have for this record. We cannot wait for everyone to hear it. I’m positive that you’ll be as excited as we are.
It also turns out that they were recording with producer Gus Oberg. Wonder if the record will meet everyone’s expectations?
