The UK’s new-rave band Klaxons have announced that they will finally be releasing their second album sometime this year. The band did not release their second album last year after the band refused to release it because they were a pop-band and were to record something along those lines. They re-recorded the second album again and now appear to be done with it. ‘Calm Trees’ wil be the single from the first album, I posted a live version of the song a long time ago here. It was produced by Ross Robinson and will be released on April 16 on 12″ vinyl. The single will have remixes from Telepathe, Soulwax, Simian Mobile Disco, Siriusmo, Crystal Castles, Todd Edwards, Gaspirator and Digitalism among others. This is what Ross Robinson said about the single: “It’s an atrociously violent song. However, it’s tinged with synth sounds of the ’70s.” Klaxons are currently working with Miles Aldridge on the video for ‘Calm Trees’. The single will probably hit the internet soon after it premieres on BBC Radio 1 in the beginning of April. Sorry fake press release, this is just as bad as when it happened with Justice.
