White Lies have been forced to cancel some of their upcoming European tour dates after their lead singer Harry McVeigh lost his voice. The band has upcoming tour dates in Italy, Germany, Austria and Swtizerland. The band put out a statement for the fans apologizing for the cancellation.
We apologise to fans expecting White Lies shows in Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland this week. Unfortunately we’re having to postpone these dates due to illness. Those of you in Munich on Monday night will have witnessed the problem first hand, these things happen, in the last 12 months we’ve played over 200 shows around the world and this is the first time its happened to us.
They will probably announce plans for their upcoming UK tour. The European shows will be rescheduled for February of 2010 with the tickets purchased remaining valid.
