The Strokes To Record Fourth Album in February

Seminal New York rockers the Strokes will finally be recording their follow-up to 2006’s “First Impressions Of Earth”, this February. In an interview with the BBC bassist Nikolai Fraiture said when they are going to start recording and why it has taken so long: “We are looking at going into the studio in February now and getting back to being a band again, It started with Nick having twins with his wife (two years ago) and he asked for a good amount of time off. After about six months he was ready to come back but other members of the band were doing their own thing. Albert was doing his thing with his solo project and Julian (Casablancas) needed time off. One thing led to another so studio time kept getting pushed back.” Nikolai is working on his own solo project called Nickel Eye, Julian Casablancas is opening a Korean BBQ in LA with Mark Ronson and Albert Hammond, Jr. recorded a Lilywhite Session this week.
