The Kooks


The Kooks are an English band from Brighton, England. It formed at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music where all of the members attended school. The name of the band comes from a track in David Bowie’s fourth album “Hunky Dory“: Kooks. After releasing an EP and playing at the Brighton Free Butt Festival they were signed to Virgin Records. Their best-selling single “Naïve” was released in March of 2006 and it spent nearly half of ’06 in the UK. Their album “Inside In / Inside Out” reached #2 in the UK Charts. They have sould out shows all ove the UK and in NY and LA. The Kooks are currently working on a new album with produdcer Tony Hoffer and claimed to have written 80 or 90 new songs.
