Jamie xx’s reworking of Gil Scott-Heron’s 2010 album “I’m New Here” has leaked. The project was first announced back in November when Jamie xx’s new version of ‘New York Is Killing Me’, then closer ‘I’ll Take Care Of You’ now the entire album has hit the internet. As soon as I saw that the track ‘My Cloud‘ was out there it was evident that the album had leaked. Most of the album has Jamie xx fiddling around with adding different samples. It’s basically like they gave him free rein with the acapellass ince very little of it resembles the original instrumentation. The album is set to come out on February 24 on XL, you can buy it here.
