The next two guests for upcoming shows of Saturday Night Light have been announced, Consequence of Sound has uncovered that Arcade Fire will be playing on Saturday Night Live for the second time on November 13 when Scarlett Johansson will host. The musical guest for the next show will be the fast rising Florence + the Machine on November 20 with Annew Hathaway as host. Both bands have risen in popularity with Arcade Fire hitting #1 on the charts with “The Suburbs” and Florence + the Machine performing at the VMAs and her album rising to #14.

Australian psych-rockers Tame Impala just released their debut album “Innerspeaker” earlier this year but now the band has admitted that they have been recording new stuff ever since they were done recording their debut. Earlier this week Klaxons performed a new version of their single ‘Twin Flames’ with Charlotte Church and I began listening to some of their old material. I had a session that they performed for MPR back in 2007, the band performed the track ‘Golden Skans’. Material like this seems to be missing from the new album, the keyboards, harmonies, none of the new material comes close to matching the first time I heard this or any of the new songs and this stripped-down version of the songs shows why. A few days ago Crystal Castle’s new single ‘Not In Love’ featuring the Cure’s Robert Smith leaked and it was posted all over the blogosphere in order to combat the leak of the single they have made the new vesrion available for download. The single is apparently a cover of a Platinum Blonde song from the 80s, the single is officially out on December 6 with acoustic demos of ‘Suffocation’ and ‘Celestica’.
