Gorillaz

Gorillaz are going to be touring North America and now Damon Albarn has announced that he will be taking a mobile studio on the road with him. It’s known that he wrote and recorded over 70 songs for the new Gorillaz album “Plastic Beach”, much of the unreleased material has many collaborators like The Horrors, Theophilus London, and Lupe Fiasco. Gorillaz-Unofficial found in the band’s recent Q Magazine article that they will release “some sort of Gorillaz album next year” and it will be “something between Gorillaz and Democrazy”, which is Albarn’s 2003 solo album which consists of demos recorded while he was on the road for Blur’s tour for their album “Think Tank”. His idea for the mobile recording studio is for the collaborators on tour to record and exchange ideas freely. Hope that turns out well. For more info including scans of the full article which also talks about a new single with Daley, you can go here.
