The Drums
Brooklyn’s The Drums have released a video for their single ‘Down By The Water’. The track was originally featured on their debut EP “Summertime!” and it is also on their debut album “The Drums” and it is one of the standout tracks from their brief discography. The video features the band’s four bandmembers each on their own pedestal while they performed choergraphed dance moves in the black-and-white video.
The band also covered Arcade Fire’s single ‘We Used To Wait’, which you can download below. (Thanks to Consequence of Sound)

The Arcade Fire
For their new video for the song ‘We Used To Wait’ Arcade Fire have gone all out utilizing the internet extensively. The band has previously made interarctive videos like their 2007 video for ‘Neon Bible’ but this new video takes that to another level. Besides the fact that they had to use Google Maps and made the video with HTML5, the video looks amazing. It features a runner going through your own childhood neighborhood and stuff begins to happen to him. You can remember your old address and type it in here to see what the runner does in it. The video was directed by Chris Milk.

Surfer Blood
West Palm Beach’s Surfer Blood are the latest band to record a session for Daytrotter. The band played four tracks from their debut album “Astro Coast”. Last time that I saw this band was back in February where they managed to pack-out the now deceased-but-trying-to-get-back-on-its-feet-venue Market Hotel. You can listen to the band’s session here. The setlist for the session is below.

Beck
Beck’s Record Club is now almost done with the “Yanni Live at the Acropolis” album and they did this one pretty quickly because the last one seemed to take forever. This time the band tackled the complex time changes and signatures in the song ‘Nostalgia’. Thurston Moore sings some nonsensical wordings in the song while the rest of the band jam through the track. You can download the track below. Also since I’ve been listening to the “Scott Pilgrim Score” you can download his song ‘Death to All Hipsters’ below.
