In order to promote their shows at London’s Barbican and their upcoming festival appearances the band will be releasing ‘Stillness Is The Move’ as a 7″ vinyl single in the UK on Domino. During their show at the Barbican they will play with the 20-piece Alarm Will Sound ensemble and play their 2005 release “The Getty Address”. The single’s b-side will be Lucky Dragon’s remix of ‘Stillness Is The Move’. You can see their upcoming UK tour dates below.

Liars’ just released their new album titled “Sisterworld” and now they are going to be releasing the single ‘The Overachievers’. They will be releasing the song as a single and putting a new song as a b-side titled ‘Pleasure Is A Boss’. Their record label Mute put it up on their Souncloud page. You can download the song below.

Best Coast stopped by The Fader and Levi’s Hotbox during CMJ Marathon last year and perfomed what was her best known son at the time ‘Sun Was High (So Was I)’. This version features her playing with Bob Bruno in a cramped space and we can hear her vocals clearly which are hidden by the reverb of the original. Bethany Cosentino just announed via Twitter that the band has signed to New York City based label Mexican Summer to release her debut album. With all of the 7″ singles, promotional tracks, EPs and demos that have been floating around fomr the band for a year this is one of the most awaited debut albums of the year. The title of the album is “Crazy for You” and it will be out on July 27.

Vampire Weekend premiering their new song ‘Jonathan Low’ on Zane Lowe’s show yesterday seems to have been overshadowed by Arcade Fire’s two new songs. Their new song is featured on the new “Twilight: Eclipse” soundtrack which again features a lot of great artists. The track seems to be more traditional indie pop whith bells and great string arrangments by Rostam Batmanglij. They also have this new video for ‘Hodliday’ which you can see below.

Unfortunately for the Arcade Fire their new single leaked but fortunate for the rest of us since we get to listen to the new songs. The songs were due to be released on June 1 via 12″ vinyl but a record shop in Glasgow sold them early and now the songs have been spreading through the internet. (more…)

Chromeo have announced that they will be touring North America with Holy Ghost! The band will also be releasing their new album “Business Casual” this summer on August 17. During all that touring they will play with Darryl Hall from Hall and Oates at Bonnaroo. This new tour was brought together by Mountain Dew’s Green Label Sound.
