M.I.A.
M.I.A. recently had some trouble with a New York Times reporter Lynn Hirchsberg after she posted a article about her titled “M.I.A.’s Agitprop Pop”. In the article she made some remarks about M.I.A’s political beliefs, and actions. It also features some quotes by those around M.I.A. like producer Diplo. M.I.A. saw it and tweeted Lynn Hirschberg’s phone number to which Lynn Hirschberg responded by dismissing her actions and saying the article was factual. M.I.A. in a post on her NEET blog titled “War Crimes and French Fries” she posted some audio clips and a new song titled ‘Haters’ that show some of the information in the article was skewed by Lynn Hirchsberg. You can download her new song below.

Here is a synopsis of the film if you’re interested: (more…)

Kanye West
After just posting about what the new Kanye West album might sound like, I see that his new single titled ‘Power’ has leaked. The single will be the lead single from his new album claimed to be titled “Good Ass Job”. For the song he seems to have kept some of the instrumentation that he used on “808s & Heartbreak”, along with a catchy chorus of people playing over and over in the background while Kanye West raps. (Thanks to Overrating the Underrated for originally posting the track.)

Kanye West
Kanye West is said to be getting back to his old rapping ways for this new album “Good Ass Job”, so Vulture started putting the pieces together to see exactly how it will sound. So far they found out is that Kanye West is ditching samples, he is recording in Hawaii and Rick Ross is on the new album. To see the rest of their analysis of the new Kanye West album you can go here. Kanye West hasn’t released an album since his experiment with auto-tune with “808s & Heartbreak” back in 2008. From what I’ve been hearing about the new album, it is set to be a hip-hop classic.
