Fanfarlo have released a new video for their track ‘The Walls Are Coming Down’. The band are channeling Houdini with their new video. A man is strapped to a straighjacket while the band plays ‘The Walls Are Coming Down’. Camera Obscura who have released the wonerful “My Maudlin Career” this year will be touring North America in support of it. The band will be coming this fall to the North American continent following a heavy touring in Europe. The band will be supported by San Francisco’s Papercuts. Dirty Projectors will be releasing another EP this year, the second after their critically acclaimed “Bitte Orca”. The EP will also serve as the single for the track ‘Temecula Sunrise’. The four track EP will also feature the album track ‘Cannibal Resource’ and two new tracks. The two tracks are left over from the “Bitte Orca” sessions. The tracks are named ‘Ascending Melody’ and ‘Emblem of the World’. Unfortunately the EP will be a UK-only release on 12″ vinyl on September 28. The tracklisting for the EP is below.

Vivian Girls played an acoustic session for They Shoot Music Don’t They back in May but it was only released a few days ago. The band played three tracks, stripped down for the session. The first track that they played for the session was ‘Tell The World’, they also played ‘I Believe in Nothing’ and ‘When I’m Gone’. I’ll post those tracks from the session next week. I never post anything by Felix da Housecat, but I do like the remixes that Cape Town’s DJ Lapse creates. This time he tackle’s Felix da Housecat’s new single ‘We All Wanna Be Prince. DJ Lapse uses the track’s catchy synths and repeats it all over the original adding his own effects and putting smoe reverb on the vocals. The song is even more catchy than the original. Felix da Housecat is releasing a new album this month, for more about the album you can see the details here. You can download the remix of ‘We All Wanna Be Prince’ below. DJ Lapse has also remixed La Roux’s ‘Bulletproof’ and Phoenix’s ’1901′.

Sufjan Stevens who has remained reclusive for quite a while is finally going to be touring North America this fall. Sufjan recently announced the release of the multimedia project “The BQE” and a remixed version of his 2001 album “Enjoy Your Rabbit”. He will start the tour with an apperance at this year’s ATP in Monticello then move on to the actual tour. Supporting Sufjan on the tour will be my secon favourite Asthmatic Kitty act Cryptacize. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday and will only be available for pick-up the night of the show. Asthmatic Kitty says that “this tour has nothing to do with that(the BQE)”.
