Blur Performing at NME Awards, High Quality

Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon performed at the NME Awards on Thursday and there has been a low quality video that isn’t available to be embedded floating around online. You can watch this high quality version that is much better with the full version of ‘This is A Low’ and they can be heard clearly. Damon Albarn played on the organ and Graham Coxon on an acoustic guitar. The band has already been confirmed to headline Glastonbury this year and to be announcing more intimate show before finally playing at their Hyde Park show. You can watch the video below and an interview after they played the track at the awards (at 2:37 in the interview it looks like Damon Albarn is playing with himself).

Dirty Projectors Announce Details for Fifth Album

With 2007′s release of “Rise Above”, Dave Longstreth and co. established themselves as one of the most creative acts in indie rock. The album featured reworkings of Black Flag’s “Damaged” straight from Dave Longreth’s head. Now the band has signed to a new label, Domino and has managed to keep a steady line-up besides mastermind Dave Longstreth. The band has been working on two albums this year, one for their Domino debut and the other for their farewell from Dead Oceans. The info released has been for their Domino release which will be titled “Bitte Orca” and has a release date of June 9. It’s first single ‘Stillness Is the Move’ on 12″ vinyl and digital download. The band has increased its size to six by adding bassist Nat Baldwin and singer Haley Dekle. You can see the tracklisting for the album below.

New Benefit Album For Darfur

“Causes 2″ will be the second album by Waxploitation to benefit those who have suffered because of the genocide in Darfur. All profits made from the sale of this album go to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, Human Rights Watch, and Oxfam America. The album includes songs from Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Decemberists, Devendra Banhart, Diplo, Federico Aubele, Gnarls Barkley, LCD Soundsystem, My Morning Jacket, Matthew Dear, Mum, Neon Neon, RJD2, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and even Tim & Eric. Waxploitation founder and executive producer on “Causes 2″ Jeff Antebi says about the cause: “It’s easy for fatigue to set in when a crisis goes on for a number of years, but no one has given up hope that things can change for the better in Darfur. There are untold numbers of people committed to changing the outcome. New Vampire Weekend – The Kids Don't Stand A Chance (Miike Snow Remix)

Miike Snow have remixed Vampire Weekend’s lastest single ‘The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance’. This isn’t the first time that it has been remixed by Chromeo gave it a try but fell short even though they played a great live version with the band at the mtvU Woodies.
